The PC O’Zone baseball team defeated the Halifax National All-Stars 12 to 3 on Sunday night.
Tucker Swails got the win on the mound throwing 4 scoreless innings, giving up 0 hits, striking out 12, giving up 1 walk.
Hunter Pendleton threw a solid 5th inning and Toby Perkins earned the save with a perfect 6th inning.
Being led by Toby Perkins at the plate, the Patrick County bats were hot all night. Perkins went three for four, with two home runs and a double, driving in seven runs total.
Netting 11 total hits, Swails went 2 for 4 while Gavin Fain, Martin Sawyers, Stuart Callahan, Braedon Augustine, Ben Hiatt, and Noah Jessup all had a base hit.
One of the coaches for the team, Sonny Swails, said, “The Dixie All Stars are working hard and representing Patrick County well. We want to thank everyone for your support.”
