The Patrick County Girls’ Tennis Team lost a home match 0-6 in singles and 0-3 in doubles.
In the singles category of the match with the Lady Comets of Halifax, Kendall Foushee defeated Madison Wright 8-0, Rose Ruotolo-Sarnataro defeated Emily Wood 8-3, Ellie Hall defeated Caroline Vernon 8-1, Blair Cole defeated Kaylee Stanley 8-5, Maelyn Edwards defeated Elleigh Large 8-2, and Sarah Lacks defeated Joelle Holderman 8-1.
In doubles, Kendall Foushee and Rose Ruotolo-Sarnataro defeated Madison Wright and Emily Wood 8-1, Ellie Hall and Blair Cole defeated Caroline Vernon and Elleigh Large 8-5, Amanda Duffer and Nya Brandon defeated Joelle Holderman and Skye Mitchell 8-2.
This made the lady Cougars 5-7 in the season until May 6, when the Lady Eagles of Franklin County hosted the PC Girls tennis team.
In the singles category, Franklin County was 6-0 against the Cougars. Bethany Graham defeated Madison Wright 8-0, McKinleigh Williams defeated Emily Wood 8-0, Jaedyn Jaminson defeated Caroline Vernon 8-0, Jocelyn Routt defeated Kaylee Stanley 8-1, Peyton Jones defeated Elleigh Large 8-0, and Katie Rutrough defeated Joelle Holderman 8-2.
In doubles, PC was 0-3 against the Lady Eagles. Bethany Graham and McKinleigh Williams defeated Madison Wright and Emily Wood 8-2, Jaedyn Jaminson and Jocelyn Routt defeated Caroline Vernon and Elleigh Large 8-2, and Rachel Pasley and Peyton Jones defeated Joelle Holderman and Skye Mitchell 8-0. The Cougars are now 5-8 in the season.
