The Bassett Bengals were too much for the Cougars as they took a 66-47 win in the Cougar Den on Thursday, Jan. 9. The Bengals went into halftime, with a 36-19 lead over the Cougars. The Bengals out-rebounded Patrick County 26-14, and turnovers were a big problem for the Cougars. However, Patrick County was able to force eight turnovers and block three Bassett shots. Austin Walter led the Cougars with 16 points and two assists. Bryson Fulcher added eight points and four rebounds. Jalen Hagwood and Krishal Soma added six points each for the Cougars. Desmond McClain had five points, one rebound, and one assist.
