Congratulations to all Patrick County High School Fishing Team anglers that fished in the state tournament at the John H. Kerr (Buggs Island) Lake. Ninety-nine teams from throughout the state competed in the 2024 BASS Nation of Virginia state tournament. Nine teams represented Patrick County High School. The weather was rough the whole weekend, but the anglers battled throughout the two-day tournament.
Two PCHS senior division teams finished in the top 20:
Hunter Heath and Jonah Shockley;
Evan Havens and Cameron Collins.
Three PCHS junior division teams finished in the top 20:
Kipton Vipperman and Trenton Miller;
Jake Bryant and Christian Pendleton;
Cameron Redd and Evan Eastridge.
Great job to all of the youth anglers for a great season. The team is looking forward to the 6-man tournament in June as well as the new upcoming season. Special thanks to all the sponsors, boat captains, sponsors and community support, so the youth anglers are provided this great opportunity and experience.
