Patrick County High School students Blake Pike and Jacob Lovell earned their spot in the Bass High School Nationals over the weekend at Buggs Island during the State Tournament.
They are the first team in history of the Patrick County High School Fishing Team to go to the National Championship. They will represent Patrick County the second weekend in August at Kentucky Lake, which is located on the border of Kentucky and Tennessee. Each championship will be covered live on Bassmaster.com and will be reported on in B.A.S.S. Times Magazine. This will be an awesome experience for these two young men and their boat captain, Tim Scott, of Woolwine. This also will be an expensive experience. If you would like to help make this trip possible for the PC team, please send your donations to the PCHS Fishing Team, 105 Kelly Mill Road, Stuart, Va. 24171. Any help will be appreciated for this once in a lifetime opportunity.
