PCHS Fishing Team members head to state championship

Several members of the Patrick County High School Fishing Team qualified for the State Championship Tournament.

The State Tournament will be held on April 24 and 25 at the John H. Kerr (Buggs Island) Lake.  The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers operates the 50,000 acre reservoir and an additional 55,000 acres of surrounding land. The 900 miles of wooded shoreline stretch across three counties in Virginia and three in North Carolina. At its maximum capacity, Kerr/Buggs Island Lake is one of the largest reservoirs in the Southeastern United States.

The Patrick County High School Fishing Team would like to thank everyone for their support throughout the season and a special thanks to all the boat captains for all their time and dedication.
