PCHS Golf Team competes in District Match

The Patrick County Golf Team travelled to Green Folly’s Country Club for a district match on Aug. 19.
Halifax won the match with a score of 319, followed by Magna Vista with a 323, and Patrick County with a 350. Tunstall and GW Danville tied for fourth place with scores of 357.
Taylor Swails led the Cougars, shooting an 85, followed by David Smith with an 86, Wesley Roberson with an 89, and Jalen Hagwood with a 90.
“Taylor played a great round today to lead us in scoring. We are steadily improving. We just need to continue to work on our short game and in the scoring area,” Coach Philip Steagall said.
The team will travel to Danville Golf Club for their next match.
