The PCHS Varsity Golf Team started the season August 4 with a 3rd place finish at the Kinderton Country Club in Clarksville, VA. Halifax finished 1st with a score of 309. Magna Vista took 2nd place with a 324, followed by the Cougars who shot a 329.
Wesley Roberson and Jalen Hagwood led Patrick County, both shooting an 80. Jordan Harris shot an 84, and Chance Corns shot an 85.
Coach Philip Steagall said, “We played very well in our first match of the season today on a course we had not seen before. Looking for good things from these young men and young women.”
