On February 9, 37 members of the Patrick County High School Senior Beta Club traveled to Williamsburg for the Virginia State Senior Beta Convention and Competition.
The participants competed in several competitions over the two-day trip. Madison Stowe won first place in Division One Poetry. Nadia Burnett took first place in Special Talent. Omar Molina placed third in Digital Art.
In the Division Two competitions Omar Molina won first place for Spanish, Casey Campbell won first place for science, and Nathaniel Wright won first place for math. Melissa Pendleton placed second place in Creative Writing.
The PCHS Senior Beta Club’s Robotics, Scrapbook, and Quiz Bowl teams all finished in third place.
Club members will be travel to Orlando, Fla., in June to compete in the National Senior Beta Club Competition and Convention.
