The Patrick County Music Association will host its monthly Jamboree on Saturday, Feb. 18, at the Rotary building in Stuart starting with an on-stage jam session from 5-6 p.m. Food is available from the 4-H Shooting Education Team.
This Jamboree features the Big Giveaway raffle. Prizes include a stay in Emerald Isle, N.C., a guitar, a mandolin, and $100. Tickets are $5 each or five tickets for $20. They will be available at the door and at The Coffee Break Restaurant in Stuart.
At 6 p.m., Mickey Galyean & Cullen’s Bridge take the stage. At 7 p.m., members of the Shelor Family go on. The original Shelor Family was featured in the legendary 1927 Bristol Sessions recording project. At the Jamboree, PCMA will present a plaque to the Shelor Family honoring their devotion to Appalachian music.
