Peggy Marie Pratt Hutchens, of Sandy Ridge, N.C., passed away on August 8, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C., after a lengthy illness. She was born on November 19, 1939 to the late John and Rosa Wood Pratt. Mrs. Hutchens is survived by three sons, Bill Hutchens and wife Vicky of Stuart, VA, Barry Hutchens and wife Laura Lea of Stuart, and Bryan Hutchens of Bassett, VA; two grandsons, Will Hutchens and wife Laura of Clayton, NC and Wendell Hutchens of Blacksburg, VA; one granddaughter, Olivia Jo of Stuart.
She has two great granddaughters, Leah and Lilly Hutchens of Sandy Ridge, NC. She is also survived by one sister, Dorothy Harris of Winston-Salem, NC; brother-in-law Clayton Hutchens and wife Pauline, sister-in-law Marie Hutchens and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce and her beloved grandson, Eli; brothers, Clyde Pratt, Robert Pratt, John Pratt, Charles Pratt; sisters, Ann Martin and Margaret Joyce.
A graveside service was held Sunday, August 11, 2019 at Old Well Christian Church in Spencer. Norris Funeral Services & Crematory, www.norrisfuneral.com, served the family.
