Patrick Henry Community College will offer digital photography and Photoshop classes taught by Ricky Dawson in March. Classes will be held on the Martinsville campus.
• Intermediate Nuts and Bolts of Digital Photography: Students will gain a deeper understanding of how to use the advanced buttons and settings on their own digital cameras. Learn how each change of the sub-menus will affect photos and how the buttons are there to help. This class will be held both inside and outside to help students understand and think what would work best in this area. Please bring your owner’s manual and digital camera.
Class will held at PHCC, West Hall 124 and will meet Tuesdays, March 8-April 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. The cost is $60.
• Intermediate Adobe Photoshop: Take your Photoshop skills to the next level. Add an artist’s touch by using the built-in brush tool and overlays to change the photo’s finished look. This includes changing the colors and adding texture to make the print look different. Learn to make your own texture from pictures that you will photograph using your digital camera. Bring a portable thumb drive of images that you would like to enhance.
Class will be held at PHCC, Walker 135 on Thursdays, March 10-April 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. The cost is $60.
