As one of its service projects for our school, the Hardin Reynolds Memorial School Junior Beta Club sponsored Pi Day, which is an annual celebration of the mathematical constant π (pi). Pi is obtained by dividing its circumference of a circle by its diameter. No matter the size of a circle, the answer will always be the exact same number: 3.14159…or pi. The first three digits of Pi are 3, 1, and 4 therefore, Pi Day is celebrated on March 14. The students had fun using all types of pies provided by the members of Junior Beta to figure Pi.
