The Patrick County Piranhas swim team held a tri-meet on Saturday, July 21 at DeHart Park in Stuart. The meet included Reeves Rapids swim team of Mount Airy, N.C. and Carroll Tiger Sharks of Carroll County.
Patrick County finished third during the meet on Saturday. “We are making our name known here in the Blue Ridge Swim League,” coach Austin Menear said. “I am very proud of our swimmers.”
Below are the place winners for the meet at home on July 21:
Myssia Hairston – 2nd in the 100 yard IM, 3rd in the 25 yard breaststroke, 2nd in 25 yard butterfly.
Kendra Vipperman – 2nd in the 25 yard free style, 3rd in the 25 yard backstroke.
Reid Corns – 1st in the 25 yard free style, 3rd in the 25 yard breaststroke, and 1st in the 25 yard butterfly.
Wheeler Helms – 2nd in the 25 yard free style, 4th in the 50 yard free style, and 2nd in the 25 yard backstroke.
Joseph Hannold – 5th in the25 yard free style and 3rd in the 25 yard backstroke.
Camille Gonzalez – 2nd in the 25 yard free style, 5th in the 25 yard breaststroke, and 2nd in the 25 yard backstroke.
Madison Scott – 6th in the 25 yard free style, 4th in the 25 yard breaststroke, and 5th in the 25 yard backstroke.
Ellianna Montgomery – 7th in the 25 yard free style.
Haley Rakes – 8th in the 25 yard free style and 7th in the 25 yard backstroke.
Mason Scott – 5th in the 25 yard free style, 5th in the 50 yard free style, and 6th in the 25 yard backstroke.
Caleb Hostetter – 5th in the 50 yard free style, 2nd in the 50 yard breaststroke, and 5th in the 50 yard backstroke.
Chance Corns – 6th in the 50 yard free style and 3rd in the 50 yard backstroke.
Hunter Lawless – 1st in the 50 yard free style.
Burke Gonzalez – 2nd in 50 yard free style and 1st in the 50 yard backstroke.
Chandler Horsley – 2nd in 50 yard free style and 1st in 25 yard breaststroke.
