Beginning Tuesday, May 21, Virginia 661 (Dangler Mountain Road) will be closed to through traffic from Virginia 741 (Elk Creek Road) to Virginia 662 (Collinstown Road) in Patrick County.
The road closure is necessary to replace the bridge over Elk Creek.
A detour will be used and directional signs will be in place to assist motorists.
Weather permitting, the road is expected to re-open on May 31, 2019.
