Award winning Studio 107 artist Charles Hill will be offering a Fundamentals of Portraiture class at the Reynolds Homestead Creative Arts Center in Stuart on Sunday, June 30 from 2 to 5 p.m. The cost of the class is $45. All materials are provided. Students who have their own paints and brushes are welcome to bring them to the class.
The art center is located at 334 Patrick Avenue, across from the Stuart Farmers Market.
This combination drawing and painting class is designed to cover the fundamentals of good portrait painting. Students will begin by drawing and learning the basics of facial anatomy and proportions, followed by acrylic glazing to finish the portraits. Bring a photo that you would like to create a portrait from. Hill will demonstrate elements and then assist students with completing them. Each student will leave with a 16″ x 20″ canvas. Remember to bring a photograph from which to work.
