Primland, the boutique resort located on 12,000 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains, has awarded Kelly Scherbenske, a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, with a two-night stay at the luxury property through its Primland Cares Instagram Giveaway.
Primland Cares was created in early 2020, to make life easier for people during what has been a difficult year for many. Through it, the resort has provided more than 2,400 lunches to students and staff in the community and helped raise over $61,000 through the Primland Cares Auction for the employee relief fund.
In the Primland Cares Instagram Giveaway, people were invited to nominate someone who they felt deserved the respite, in recognition of their selfless work for others. Scherbenske was selected out of nearly 100 nominations.
Her nomination read: “My friend Kelly, a CRNA, has worked tirelessly to take care of patients. She has put her life on hold while doing so, and she deserves a weekend of relaxation.”
Scherbenske’s getaway includes:
Two night’s accommodation for two people in a Lodge guest room in or in a Pinnacle Cottage
An evening of stargazing for two in the world-class Observatory
A welcome amenity
Breakfast daily for two
Choice of an activity, from options including RTV Trail riding, golf on the award-winning Highland Course, sport shooting at clay targets, and many others
“We are grateful for the opportunity to give back to those who help others, and we thank Ms. Scherbenske for all that she does for people,” said Primland Vice President Steve Helms.
