Ricky Morton of the Rock and Roll Express, along with several other high profile professional wrestlers, will invade Patrick County High School on the October 22. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with bell time at 7:30 p.m.
Branded as Cougar Clash II, the event is being sponsored by the Patrick County High School Army JROTC Cougar Battalion. The local Lowes Foods is the major local business donor/sponsor. Hopkins Lumber, Clark Brothers Company, Inc. and Boyce-Holland Veterinary Services are also supporting the Cougar Battalion in this fund-raiser.
Besides Morton’s rumble with arch enemy Jimi Love, the other main event for the evening will be the Mid -Atlantic six-man Tag Team Title Tournament finals. Lead by “The Machine” Ken Still, he, along with Sinn Krowley and Jeffery Irons, will look to take down the team of Mike Williams, Rick Kelly, and Aubrey Wright.
Also on the night’s card, those in attendance will be thrilled by a National Independent Championship Wrestling (NICW) Tag Team Title match with The Overlords going against Frank Parker and Assassin 3. The NICW Mid Atlantic Heritage Championship between Scott Lee and Zane Wolf is also on the line. This is a two-out-of-three falls match.
Also appearing in the ring will be Kalis Miller, Juggernaut, Rex Chapel, Brian Hardy, Adam Armstrong, and Court Montgomery.
Advance floor seating ticket sales are available for $12 at PCHS and the Honduras Coffee Shop in Stuart; advance tickets can also be bought in Floyd at the Sun Dial and at Premier Championship Sports. General admission seating is only available at the door for $10 on the evening of this exciting event. Children six and under will be admitted free with a paid adult. Concessions will be available.
While the card is always subject to change, the evening will be enjoyable for all; and the community support of the young men and women of the Cougar Battalion is greatly appreciated. The high school’s JROTC program has been designated as an Honor Unit of Distinction which means it is one of the premier programs in the country.
