The Patrick County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on the proposed fiscal year 2020-‘21 budget on Monday, June 8.
The hearing will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Board Room in the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Building, on Rucker Street, in Stuart.
The meeting also will be live streamed on the Friends of Patrick County Tourism Facebook page.
County residents have the right to attend the hearing and voice their views on the proposal, or email them to awalker@co.patrick.va.us or ghazelwood@co.patrick.va.us by noon on Monday, June 8. The live call-in number is (276) 806-2837.
According to the proposed spending plan, the budget is balanced.
Proposed estimated county revenues and expenses to the General Fund total $25,029,893; school division revenues/expenses total $28,004,413; revenues/expenses from other sources total $642,094.
The regular portion of the meeting begins at 6 p.m., with the board to discuss:
*Riverstreet Contract, with Bryce Simmons, director of the Patrick County Economic Development Authority;
*Bull Mountain E911 HVAC Proposal
The board also may meet in closed session to discuss personnel, legal, contract and real Estate matters.
