Four public hearings are scheduled to be held during the Patrick County Board of Supervisors meeting on Monday, April 11, according to a draft of the agenda.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. in the third-floor courtroom of the Patrick County Veteran’s Memorial Building, 106 Rucker Street in Stuart.
The first hearing regarding adoption of the Dangerous Dog Ordinance is scheduled to begin at 6:15 p.m.
A second hearing, regarding the Comprehensive Plan, begins at 6:20 p.m.
At 6:35 p.m., the board will hold a hearing before adopting adopt the annual payment of Real Estate Taxes Ordinance.

The Virginia Department of Transportation and county officials will conduct a joint hearing at 6:30 p.m. on the proposed Secondary Six- Year Plan for Fiscal Years 2022/23 through 2027/28 in Patrick County, and the Secondary System Construction budget for Fiscal year 2021/22. Copies of the proposed Plan and Budget may be reviewed at the Martinsville Residency Office of the Virginia Department of Transportation, located at 309 Weeping Willow Lane in Bassett.
Scheduled speakers include Schools Superintendent Jason Wood; David Kiser and Lisa Price-Hughes – VDOT Rural Rustic Resolution, Epperson Lane; Sam Irby – Health Insurance Presentation; Ross Adams, Captain – Special Operations; Scottie Cassell, Emergency Management Director; Rebecca Adcock – Patrick County Chamber Update; Sean Adkins, Economic Development Director – Update; Christmas Festival to Benefit Hospital Fund and Covered Bridge Discussion.
The board may meet in closed session to discuss personnel, contract and real estate matters.
