My letter to the editor of August 24 ended, “We still have the right to vote. Please vote against wrong.”
This is still the reason for writing.
Ms. Rudd said, “Legislation won’t change a thing” in her August 31 reply.
Legislation for choice (of the mother, not the baby or father) changed much. At one point in America’s history, over four million abortions were paid for per year. QuikFacts (www.nrlc.org) says “Planned Parenthood reports that their affiliates performed 327,166 abortions of the estimated 1.05 million abortions performed in the U.S. “ (2013-2014)
Legislation lifting the ban on partial-birth abortion has changed much. Many doctors (and nurses) have changed their outlook about abortion and now are threatened with loss of legal right to work at saving life. Read Wesley Smith, “Consensus Statement to Force MDs to Kill”. (NRL News Today, September 2, 2016).
Legislation can change much. Please write or call your congressmen or representatives to support the Unborn Child Protection from Dismemberment Abortion Act. It has been passed in six states thus far.
In paragraph two of Ms. Rudd’s letter she said, “No taxpayer money…”
“Planned Parenthood’s revenues for 2013-2014 exceeded $1.3 billion. They report that 41% of their income came in the form of government health services, grants, and reimbursements.” Planned parenthood performs “roughly 17 times more abortions” than prenatal services. (www.nrlc.org) To educate yourself see a series of images including a baby at “fifth month, the unborn becomes viable” at www.campaignlifecoalition.com.
A trip to the library if you have no computer (as is my case) will furnish much information. The web sites I have quoted are not the only ones. But watch with caution the videos. They will make you nauseous, if you have any compassion left for the unborn.
The feminist movement began long ago. Sadly, it is responsible for the deaths of many female babies due to “choosing” to want only males. This is possibly the reason that abortion rates have decreased by over two million per year.
The “ sexist” problem is cured by following the same Word that cures the abortion problem and the violence problem. (The Apostle Paul gives the Equalizer Creed.)
Surely, Americans have been trained differently since the 1950s. It has not made our country greater.
Vote for a change.
Do not vote because of the candidate’s sex, race, or charisma.
Vote for a change.
Do not vote to continue as we are as a country.
Vote for a change.
