A recruitment fair for STEP’s Early Head Start and Head Start programs will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 14 at the STEP (Support To Eliminate Poverty) Inc. building at 4559 Wayside Road, Stuart.
The event is an opportunity for both new and returning families to register children for the 2016-2017 school year.
Items needed to register a child include a birth certificate, proof of address, recent income source, Social Security and insurance information, and immunization records.
Benefits of the programs, according to information from STEP, include developmental screenings, nutritious meals, educational activities, a qualified staff, health screenings, family support services, full-day services, family engagement opportunities, no fees, and services for special needs children.
