Mr. Reynold “Pete” Peter Haas, age 85 of Meadows of Dan, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at his home. He was born on May 9, 1934 to Joseph Haas and Mina Eichorn Haas. Pete had retired from Bassett Walker, loved westerns, and was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
He is survived by seven children, Cindy Haas Shelor of Meadows of Dan, Sherry Haas Mitchell of Stuart, Karen Haas Burnette of Meadows of Dan, Joyce Haas Hiatt of Stuart, Joseph Haas of Meadows of Dan, Michael Haas of Meadows of Dan, Kevin Haas of Martinsville; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren; one sister, Florence Gazzola of Richmond; his wife, Tama Leath Haas of Martinsville; and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church (located at 2090 Cloudbreak Road, Meadows of Dan) with Pastor Joe Young officiating. Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
