On Thursday, Oct. 27, Friends of Reynolds Homestead invites the public to its free “Friends Raising” dinner. Attendees can enjoy barbecue by the Texas Barbecue Wagon and learn about the positive impact they can have on the Reynolds Homestead by joining the Friends of Reynolds Homestead.
There will be live music with Mary Jo and Charlie Leet performing.
A silent auction fund-raiser will be held downstairs. The auction includes original artwork by local artists and fine jewelry, as well as gift certificates for Primland, the Inn at Virginia Tech and the Hotel Roanoke.
Those who can’t attend may bid on silent auction items through the Reynolds Homestead Facebook page. All auction proceeds will go to help construct much-needed storage on the property.
Reservations for the dinner and auction are required. Please RSVP to Lisa Martin at martinlm@vt.edu or (276) 694-7181, ext. 22, by Monday, Oct. 24.
