Beginning Monday, May 13, Virginia 642 (Poorhouse Creek Road) will be closed to through traffic 1.10 miles from the dead end in Patrick County.
The closure is necessary to replace the bridge over Poorhouse Creek. Weather permitting, the road is expected to be re-opened May 19.
Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes during the time period.
