Beginning Monday, December 7, Virginia 653 (Santa Claus Lane) will be closed to through traffic between U.S 58 (Jeb Stuart Highway) and Virginia 868 (Scenic Drive), according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
The closure is necessary to perform a pipe replacement. Work is expected to be completed on Friday, December 18, weather permitting.
Directional signs will be in used to help travelers.
