Portions of two roads are set to be closed to through traffic for repairs beginning on Tuesday, July 6, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
A portion of Virginia 615 (Jacks Creek Road) will be closed to through traffic approximately 0.12 mile from Virginia 8 (Woolwine Highway) and 0.85 mile from Virginia 723 (Morrison School Road) in Patrick County.
The closure is necessary for a bridge replacement over the Smith River.
Weather permitting, the road is expected to be re-opened by July 23.
A portion of Virginia 671 (Raven Rock Road) also will be closed to through traffic between Virginia 631 (Pond Road) and Virginia 735 (Boyd Hollow Road) for a pipe replacement.
Weather permitting, the road will re-open to traffic on Friday, July 9.
Detours and directional signs will be used during the closures to direct travelers.
