A portion of Rt. 710 (Woods Gap Road) was expected to be closed to through traffic from Rt. 719 (Widgeon Creek Road) to Rt. 716 (Shortcut Drive) beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 4, according to a news release from the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
The road closure is necessary to perform a pipe replacement, VDOT said. The road is expected to be closed until Friday, Oct. 7, weather permitting.
During this time, directional signs will be in place to assist the traveling public.
