Surry Community College’s Business Technologies Division will give students the opportunity to obtain a Trucking Operations Management Certificate beginning in the fall semester.
This new certificate program consists of 18 credit hours over the course of one academic year. Coursework includes transportation, warehousing, inventory control, material handling, purchasing, computerization, supply chain operations, federal transportation and safety regulations.
Upon completion, graduates should qualify for entry-level positions in a range of supply chain and logistics positions in government agencies, manufacturing, and service organizations. Employment opportunities include entry-level distribution, planning, material management, warehousing, inventory, transportation, trucking operations, international freight, and logistics.
