Whether you’re dreaming of being the next big fashion designer or you simply sew to mend a few of your own things, Surry Community College’s upcoming sewing workshop can help you master some of the trickiest seamster skills.
A Buttons & Buttonholes workshop will be held on Tuesday, November 15 from 6 to 9 p.m. in Room 134 of The Pilot Center, 612 E. Main St., Pilot Mountain, N.C. Students will construct three types of buttonholes, learn how to make a covered button and learn the proper technique to sew on buttons.
This course will guide students through the process of creating a standard buttonhole, a keyhole buttonhole and a covered buttonhole. All materials are provided. Pre-registration and pre-payment of $25 are required.
