Students in Patrick County will return to class on August 9, according to an agenda for the July 12 meeting of the Patrick County School Board.

The board also will consider adopting a calendar for the upcoming school year and information about the 2018 Board of Education Distinguished Achievement Awards.

Three schools — Blue Ridge Elementary, Meadows of Dan Elementary and Woolwine Elementary schools were among the 202 to earn the award.

The school board also is scheduled to meet in closed session to discuss personnel issues.

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. in the Central Office which is located at 104 Rucker Street, Stuart.
