The Patrick County Board of Supervisors’ personnel committee is in the process of reviewing candidates for the County Administrator position.
Jane Fulk, board chairman, said the search is ongoing, and the committee plans to begin interviewing candidates who have applied for the post.
The position has been vacant since January, when the board opted to not renew the former county administrator’s employment contract.
In an associated move, the board appointed Assistant County Administrator Geri Hazelwood to serve as interim until the position is filled.
Fulk, of the Dan River District, and Crystal Harris, of the Smith River District, serve on the personnel committee. However, the successful candidate will be selected by the entire board, Fulk said.
She declined to provide additional information, including the number of candidates and their state or place of residence.
