Sheriff Dan Smith reported the following arrests:
• James Charles Anderson, 31, of Claudville, was arrested May 12 on a capias for failure to appear in court.
Deputy S. Kendrick made the arrest.
• Janet Rebecca Butski, 41, of Stuart, was arrested May 12 on a charge of driving while intoxicated, first offense.
Deputy Lewis Carroll Jr. made the arrest.
• Mark Lindwood Robertson, 47, of Ararat, was arrested May 12 on charges of possession of a firearm by a non-violent felon and possession of ammunition by a convicted felon.
Lt. R.S. Coleman made the arrest.
• Shakiera Clyburn, 22, of Lancaster, S.C., was arrested May 13 on charges of shoplifting and property damage.
Deputy D.A. Gray made the arrest.
• Sammy Odell Coleman, 31, of Stuart, was arrested May 14 on a charge of assault on a family member.
Sgt. M.A. Holland made the arrest.
• Caleb Paul Hamm, 20, of Stuart, was arrested May 14 on a charge of assault and battery.
Deputy Oscar Tejeda made the arrest.
• Teddy Ray Goins, 36, of Lawsonville, N.C., was arrested May 14 on charges of shoplifting and trespassing.
State Trooper N.D. Knight made the arrest.
• Melissa Roberts Justice, 51, of Stuart, was arrested May 14 on charges of assault and battery and assault on a family member.
Deputy Cole Newman made the arrest.
• Jami Fitzgerald Justice, 23, of Stuart, was arrested May 14 on a charge of assault on a family member.

• Tanna Shelton Fitzgerald, 50, of Bassett, was arrested May 14 on a charge of assault and battery.

• James Brandon Spence, 28, of Patrick Springs, was arrested May 15 on charges of assault and battery and pointing or brandishing a firearm.

• Denese P. Kendrick, 46, of Woolwine, was arrested May 15 on a charge of assault and battery.
Deputy B. Webb made the arrest.
• Thomas Anthony Hunter, 50, of Pulaski, was arrested May 6 on a charge of failure to appear in court.
The New River Valley Jail made the arrest for Patrick County.
• Martin Carter Ford, 50, of Madison, N.C., was arrested May 10 on a warrant of extradition.
