Sheriff Dan Smith reported the following arrests:
• Martin Eugene Morgan, 48, of Stuart, was arrested June 24 on two counts of manufacturing methamphetamine with a child present, two counts of conspiracy to sell a controlled substance, two counts of sale of a Schedule I or II controlled substance, conspiracy to sell an imitation controlled substance, and sale of an imitation controlled substance.
Deputy Lewis Carroll Jr. made the arrest.
• Sammy Odell Coleman, 31, of Stuart, was arrested June 20 on a charge of malicious bodily injury.
Deputy Dustin Dillon made the arrest.
• Ransome Cockram, 60, of Woolwine, was arrested June 20 on an indictment charge of aggravated sexual battery.
Deputy W.D. Haymore made the arrest.
• William James Layman, 61, of Claudville, was arrested June 21 on two counts of assault on a family member.
Deputy C.K. Meredith made the arrest.
• Maria Victoria Pero, 32, of Stuart, was arrested June 23 and charged with four indictment counts of making a false welfare application and two indictment counts of welfare fraud.

• Joshua Allen Jarrard, 24, of Stuart, was arrested June 23 on three indictment counts of forcible sodomy.

• David Shane Ball, 27, of Henry, was arrested June 23 on a charge of shoplifting.
The Martinsville Police Department made the arrest for Patrick County.
• Jesse Ray Belcher, 26, of Patrick Springs, was arrested June 23 on a charge of probation violation.

• Robert Burke Stedman Jr., 61, of Stuart, was arrested June 23 on an indictment charge of manufacturing marijuana.

• Terry Wayne Leigh, 27, of Bassett, was arrested June 23 on a charge of assault on a family member.

• Nancy Louise Leigh, 66, of Bassett, was arrested June 23 on a charge of assault on a family member.

• Joseph Michael Purdy, 43, of Meadows of Dan, was arrested June 23 on a charge of trespassing.

• Andrew Wayne Smith, 23, of Stuart, was arrested June 22 on violation of a protective order.

• Brandi Lee Begley, 31, of Hillsville, was arrested June 22 on a charge of assault on a family member.

• John Wayne McArthur, 67, of Patrick Springs, was arrested June 21 on a charge of petit larceny, first offense.
Deputy Roger L. Bell made the arrest.
• Betty Jean McArthur, 66, of Patrick Springs, was arrested June 21 on a charge of threatening an illegal or immoral act over the telephone.

• David Michael Christian, 51, of Patrick Springs, was arrested June 24 on a charge of probation violation.
Deputy Ricky Rorrer made the arrest.
• James Garver Agee, 59, of Meadows of Dan, was arrested June 24 on a charge of manufacturing marijuana.

• Brian Clifton Drewery, 22, of Claudville, was arrested June 26 on charges of driving while intoxicated, first offense, and possession of marijuana, second or subsequent offense.
Deputy Chase Meredith made the arrest.
• Ronnie Lee Howell, 41, of Bassett, was arrested June 26 on a charge of probation violation.
