Sheriff Dan Smith reported the following arrests:
• Jay Devin Griffith, 23, of Bassett, was arrested Sept. 23 on charges of illegal possession of a firearm and making a false statement on a consent form.
State Trooper R. Dillon made the arrest.
• Steven Bradley Smith, 39, of Stuart, was arrested Sept. 25 on charges of driving while intoxicated, first offense, and reckless driving.
State Trooper K.D. Mabe made the arrest.
• Sara Ann Scott, 26, of Stuart, was arrested Sept. 25 on a charge of reckless driving.
Deputy D. Dillon made the arrest.
• Landry Delaine Morrison, 27, of Stuart, was arrested Sept. 29 on charges of grand larceny and breaking and entering.
Deputy S.R. Keffer made the arrest.
• Benny Lee Baliles Jr., 31, of Claudville, was arrested Sept. 28 on two counts of issuing bad checks.
Investigator Danny Martin and Deputy David Jones made the arrest.
• Creighton Lee Burris, 25, of Ararat, was arrested Sept. 30 on a capias for failure to appear in court.
Sgt. M.A. Holland made the arrest.
• Joshua Cardale Marshall, 23, of Stuart, was arrested Oct. 1 on a charge of assault and battery on a law enforcement officer.
State Trooper N.D. Knight made the arrest.
Marshall was also charged with grand larceny of a motor vehicle and obstructing justice.
Deputy Oscar Tejeda made the arrest.
• Robert Blake Pruitt, 30, of Stuart, was arrested Oct. 1 on a charge of grand larceny of a motor vehicle.
Deputy Tejeda made the arrest.
• Tara Kaydale Reed, 27, of Floyd, was arrested Oct. 1 on a charge of grand larceny of a motor vehicle.
Deputy Tejeda made the arrest.
• Summer Nicole Collins, 29, of Stuart, was arrested Oct. 1 on a charge of grand larceny of a motor vehicle.
Deputy Tejeda made the arrest.
• Amber Lea Marshall, 24, of Ararat, was arrested Sept. 29 on two counts of failure to appear in court.
Deputy C.M. Meredith made the arrest.
