Winter decided to make an appearance Monday, with a mixed bag of precipitation reported in many areas. The mix, which later changed primarily to snow, created some treacherous driving conditions and prompted Henry County officials to issue an emergency declaration. But closer to home, Kathy Conner’s yard in Stuart brimmed with color and birds. Cardinals, woodpeckers, finches, sparrows and doves came calling to enjoy the treats in Conner’s feeders.
