The Varsity Softball Team got a 3-1 win over the Lady Bengals on May 8.
The Lady Cougars came out ready to play after a 3 to 13 loss to Tunstall the day before.
Abigail Epperson got the win in the circle, throwing all seven innings. She gave up five hits, four walks, and one run. She recorded a season high of 12 strike outs. Montana Moorefield got things started at the plate with a lead-off double. She then scored on an RBI slap bunt single by Jenna King. Moorefield went 4-4 at the plate with two singles and two doubles. Kansas Cutchins added a double for the Lady Cougars.
The Lady Cougars also fell to Franklin County on Thursday, with the Lady Eagles getting the 7-5 win.
