The Patrick Springs Soup Kitchen has been in limbo due to its removal from Patrick Springs Recreation Building. Volunteers have been struggling to find a new place, with no one offering a location.
Recently Dr. Lock Boyce stepped up. He offered the volunteers of the soup kitchen a rental house he owns, along with refurbishing said house to accommodate the soup kitchen, rent free and all utilities paid by Mr. Boyce..If he had not done so, the kitchen would have closed.
The reason “it worked out for the good” is Dr. Boyce’s commitment to help those in need. If anyone deserves a pat on the back it is Supervisor Boyce for saving the soup kitchen.
Thanks to Supervisor Boyce, volunteers are now relocated and in operation at the new location he provided.
God bless the volunteers and Dr. Boyce.
