A special election will be held on Nov. 7 for the purpose of filling the vacancy that exists in the office of the Clerk of Court of Patrick County for the remainder of the unexpired term.
The filing deadline is Aug. 18 at 5 p.m.
Candidate packets are available at the Patrick County Registrar’s Office, located in the Patrick County Administration Building, 106 Rucker St., Stuart; or may be downloaded at www.elections.virginia.gov.
