

Patrick County Public Schools held its annual Spelling Bee on Feb. 25 that Patrick County High School. Elementary students from throughout the county represented their schools.
The finalists are:
Third place was Autumn King, a seventh-grader at Woolwine Elementary School.
Second Place was Callie Wood, a sixth-grader at Meadows of Dan Elementary School.
The winner of the spelling bee was Bryan Clark, a seventh-grader at Stuart Elementary School. The winning word was “novelist.” Bryan will represent Patrick County in the Regional Spelling Bee on March 15, in Winston-Salem, N.C.
