Lady Cougars Lose to Warriors
The Lady Cougars traveled to Ridgeway to take on the Lady Warriors on Friday night, and lost the game 34-51.
Allanah Mitchell had 8 points, 1 assist, and 1 assist. Aniya Penn had 7 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals. Kimora Wimbush had 7 points, 2 steals, and 2 rebounds.
“It was a really competitive, hard-fought game for the first twenty minutes of the game. Hats off to Magna Vista, they are truly the class of the district for a reason. They are well coached and tenacious in their press. My kids really fought hard and were leading at half time, but we were down a starter due to illness, then injuries to two more starters really set us back in the second half. We simply ran out of gas against a good ball club. Extremely proud of the effort,” said the coach.
The Lady Cougars are 10-9, 6-4 in the Piedmont District.
