Jeb Stuart Rescue Squad is offering a prescription pickup and delivery service to help protect those most vulnerable to COVID-19.
Members of the squad will pick up and deliver prescription medicine for the elderly and/or disabled.
Prescriptions must be paid for at the pharmacy before they are picked up. This can be done over the phone.
To schedule a pickup/delivery, call the squad and provide your name, address, date of birth, number of prescriptions to pick up and pharmacy.
Members then will go to the pharmacy and pick up your prescription.
The bag will have a seal on it and the pharmacy will sign the seal so you will know it has not been tampered with when you receive your prescription.
Upon delivery, you must sign a form stating that you received your medications.
Anyone in need of this volunteer service may contact the squad at (276)-694-6171. If no answer, call (276)692-6724.
“We are trying to help our neighbors out by keeping the elderly and disabled safe in their homes,” the squad stated in a release. “To ensure your safety, ALL deliveries and contacts will ONLY be made in a Jeb Stuart Rescue Squad vehicle.”
