Car enthusiasts are invited to show and see a wide variety of street rods, muscle cars, classics, trucks and motorcycles during the first STEP Car Show in Stuart, Saturday, July 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Patrick County High School.
Registration forms for car owners are available on the STEP website: www.stepincva.com or at the event the morning of the show.
A registration fee of $15 per vehicle for owners to show their cars and trucks will be charged. Trophies will be awarded in a variety of classes for first, second and honorable mention.
In addition to the cars, children’s activities will be provided by Outdoor Entertainment, LLC, at this family-friendly event. The day’s emcee will be Stuart Town Manager Terry Tilley. Admission is free to visitors.
Refreshments will be available.
STEP (Solutions That Empower People) is a community action agency with services in Franklin and Patrick Counties, and Bedford, Martinsville and Danville.
Services include Early Head Start and Head Start; youth services (LIFES Academy and Project Discovery); senior services (Meals on Wheels, transportation); supportive services (re-entry, homelessness prevention); housing and weatherization; and financial services (tax preparation assistance, financial education, individual development accounts).
