Lillian Cobbler was the recipient of the prestigious Daughters of the American Revolution Youth Citizenship Award Wednesday, May 29, at the Stuart Elementary School seventh grade promotional ceremony. The DAR Youth Citizenship Award acknowledges attributes such as honor, service, courage, and leadership. Cobbler was chosen for her honesty, loyalty, kindness, unselfishness, ability to lead, good sportsmanship, and her patriotism.
In her spare time, Cobbler enjoys fishing, kayaking, hiking, softball, golf, bowling and basketball. She takes pleasure in participating in church activities and spending time with her family. Learning new things, meeting new people and traveling inspire her. She loves to help others overcome obstacles. She believes that all people deserve love and kindness. She hopes to change the world.
Cobbler is the daughter of Amber Tankersley and Paige Cobbler. She lives in Stuart and is an outstanding student involved in many academic clubs. She is a member of the Stuart Elementary Junior Beta Club and is also a Challenge student. Cobbler is an exceptional student and school officials are proud to announce her as the DAR recipient.
