Patrick Henry Community College is holding Fast Pass Enrollment on Monday and Tuesday, July 18 –19. Complete an application, meet with an advisor, and/or register for fall semester in one trip. Drop in any time between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Center for New Students in the Walker building room 228 on the Martinsville campus.
“We’re excited to be offering Fast Pass Enrollment this year,” said Director of Enrollment Management Colin Ferguson. “We have improved our registration process this year, so it’s important for everyone to enroll now to get the classes and times they want before classes fill up.”
Registration is on-going throughout the summer and students can see an advisor at any point to register. The Fast Pass Enrollment on July 18 and 19 is intended to provide a one-stop, one-day registration option. Academic advisors, admissions liaisons, and financial aid personnel are devoting these two days to advising and registering for the fall.
As every situation is unique, not every student will be able to complete advising and registration within one day. Students who have already completed the steps for admissions, placement testing, and financial aid should particularly benefit from the accelerated process.
To complete these steps, apply for admission to the college either online or in person at the Walker Fine Arts Student Center and, if necessary, take the Virginia Placement Tests (VPT) in math and English. Advisors recommend taking the VPT over two days. Students who need financial assistance should complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). This online form maybe completed with last year’s tax information. Students with questions about financial aid should call toll-free (855) 874-6692.
For those who cannot make it to campus during these times, both new and returning students can call Travis Tisdale at (276) 656-0311 or Chris Niblett at (276) 656-5481 for advising assistance.
