The pre-kindergarten and kindergarten classes at Woolwine Elementary School visited the Woolwine Volunteer Fire Department on Friday, October 14. The firemen dressed in full uniform to show the students how they would look in a real fire situation and then talked with the students about fire safety. Patrick County Emergency Services Coordinator Steve Allen brought a simulator and the firemen demonstrated to small groups what happens in a fire. Woolwine school officials extend a special thanks to all who were involved for taking the time to prepare the students for an emergency situation.
