The Patrick County Board of Supervisors meeting previously scheduled for Monday, Jan. 9, has been rescheduled for Monday, Jan. 23. The board will meet at 6 p.m. in the Patrick County Veterans’ Memorial Building.
All meetings include a public comment period during which county residents are invited to address the board with questions, concerns and feedback on county government and local issues.
Topics scheduled for discussion at the January 23 meeting include election of a chairman and vice chairman for the board; the adoption of Robert’s Rules of Governance; the 2017 meeting schedule; and Board of Supervisors committee appointments.
Also, Scott Wickham is scheduled to present the results of the Patrick County audit, conducted by Robinson, Farmer, Cox Associates accounting firm in Christiansburg. Plus, a resolution regarding a multi-jurisdictional hazard mitigation plan is on the agenda.
After the open discussion, board members will hold a closed executive session to discuss personnel, legal and contract matters, and real estate.
