The Virginia Cardinals (formerly Patrick County Dixie Youth All-Star O’Zone) state champions, were escorted out of town early early on Friday, August 3, by a Patrick County Sheriff’s office car and two fire trucks.
The entourage wound down Main Street and through town as they headed to Lumberton, N.C. The team won Virginia State Champions and now are playing in the World Series. Supporters lined the streets to cheer them on and wish players good luck at the World Series. (Photo by Amanda Collins)
