The Patrick County Board of Supervisors will meet at 6 p.m., on Wednesday, March 30, in the third-floor boardroom of the Patrick County Veterans’ Memorial Building (county administration building).
Following the opening session, the board will hold a public comment period.
The board will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. on the proposed 2016-2017 county budget and proposed real estate tax rate of 57 cents per $100 assessed value. (See related story).
The board is expected to set the tax rate at this meeting.
The budget discussion will continue with Dr. William Sroufe, superintendent of schools; Sheriff Dan Smith; and Mickie Martin, director of the E-911 Dispatch Center.
The board will adjourn until the next scheduled meeting on April 11.
