Sun gazing took on a new meaning Monday during the Great American Eclipse. The moon completely covered the sun and the corona – the sun’s tenuous atmosphere –and was visible in some parts of the U.S. A partial solar eclipse occurred closer to home, with the moon covering part of the sun.
